Only this moment ...
"Do not add any thoughts on the first nen, do not create thoughts on the future"
These words taken from the speeches of Rinzai Zenji are very important.
Not associated with other thoughts to those that arise naturally. Do not continue to investigate every thought. Do not think and elaborate on each thought that comes by adding other ideas. This does not mean "do not look, do not listen, not to mention" see with your eyes fully use them, but it splits your thoughts on site as soon as they appear. Even if it's a good idea not to add more. No matter how bad it is no longer to linger over. Cut it at the moment.
To do this, use your powers of inventiveness, not to be worried or anxious about what has not happened yet. Our life is not happening in the past that has already passed or in the future that has yet to happen. only the present moment is the our life is going just at this time. Using all that we are right now: this is the function of living zazen.
People who are at the end of their lives have not necessarily proven experience delo zazen but they come in the same state as those who practice zazen. This means the most important mental state of this life. When human beings are stripped of all decorations and dig to find what is really necessary and what remains is the essential place of our original nature. and in fact there is only this moment.
