Shiatsu Academy of Sicily is home to a meditation group Ekin Casarubea and directed by Ilaria Gianni Gebbia Joraku linked to Sogen-ji monastery in Japan, whose abbot is the Zen Master Shodo Harada Roshi, part of the Rinzai Zen tradition branch Myoshin-ji who is the main temple and includes about three thousand temples throughout Japan. Shodo Harada Roshi since about 1975 (when he became Abbot of Sogenji) has created a sangha (Buddhist community) has several international offices in various parts of the world (India-Nepal-United States-Mexico-Poland-Germany-Denmark -Hungary-Italy-Switzerland) conducted by his students to spread the wisdom of Buddha that through the practice of meditation all beings without distinction can be freed from suffering and to direct experience of the profound truth that all beings are equal and imbued with the same kind that animates all things in the world and the universe and that this knowledge can be experienced as real experience and not just intellectual knowledge.
The name "one drop" (drop) and Shodo Harada Roshi was chosen for the Sangha refers to the lighting history of Zen Master Tekisui Giboku Sogen-ji in 800 took place in and about which we report the story of Shodo Harada Roshi: A drop of water Sogen.
The word "Zend" instead refers to the place where you can practice Zen meditation in the Rinzai Zen tradition is considered of utmost importance because the its good structure allows to achieve the right concentration of mind.
