Constance Cortez - Riddles The Mayan

Good morning everyone and welcome back to these pages. This early morning I finished reading a small picture book, "Riddles Maya" written by Constance Cortez and published by Fabbri Editori. This is a photo that covers minilibro - very, very quickly, but without the history of the Maya ramblings about what is the most charming of this ancient people, the Mystery. No one talks about anything relevant, preferring a simple historical digression on the main characters of Maya history.

Recommended only to those who approach for the first time in the history of this ancient people.

What Is Shoulder Pain Like In An Ctopic Pregnancy

E 'started the "saldanza" Give

The most dreaded phase has begun.
the infamous aluminum welding began.
".... alluminiooooo in a boat? " - "But aluminum is difficult to weld, impossible."
- "But how can you weld aluminum?"
- "but how do you pay?"
Here is a summary of the first five months of feedback from relatives, friends, acquaintances and strangers.
Whenever we tell people that our extravagant project, the first question was to weld aluminum.
It 'amazing how everyone knows this great difficulty that affects men, it seems almost like an imprinting the instinct to breathe and walk.
Women, children, seniors, government employees, retirees, housewives, computer programmers, engineers, architects, accountants, carpenters, school staff, the Kings and Queens, blacksmiths and farriers ..... everyone knows it.
we approach this phase with fear as if it was a massacre.
Tranquilli, please do not worry, you can do. With a good welder to learn how to weld aluminum, it takes 15 to 20 minute session casuali.Nella photos you can see we made the first seal.
Dix, when he came to Florence to see us, we explained the progression of the welds. In about 6 hours, we have started and finished the first phase, the phase "T".
All intersections of those curves with straight plates were welded from the outside.
After the first 5 minutes of total panic (when we arrived near the corner sheet melted, creating a hole), we realized that we needed a person inside the hull with a piece of iron or copper followed the welding " buffer ". We asked our consultant to confirm this idea of \u200b\u200bCharles and discovered that we had not invented anything new, in fact this practice is widely used. We thank Charles who has joined us quickly to the site for confirm our findings and to make us a lot of compliments, by the way, are always nice, especially if done by a man who has spent 35 of his years in the shipyard to sell welders.
We did not notice not even any visible deformation of the plates.
There were only 3 "crashing", 3 appuntature popped giving rise to a loud noise and left, this was expected because we had our choice of the metal pin slightly so that it can remove the welds easily.
The next stage will be the final welding of the ordered to battens which now, by the book Dix are just pinned.
If there are no hitches or personal climate, we plan to finish by the end of February, after which ....
Upside down Boy, you turn me, inside and out, round and round ....

Bulk Chicken Wings In Ohio

me five.

Sincere thanks to all the friends who were present last night to reach the first small tragurdo, thank you thank you thank you.
E 'was an important evening, the enthusiasm was infectious smiles hugs and toast, who for family reasons did not ate with us, he had thought to go after dinner to taste the sweets of the mother of Alex.
Sassi perfectly cooked pork (costs less) to the fire, the wine has welcomed the evening, at one point we feared the worst, "not the end, there were still three sheets and everyone laughed half-drunk like crazy, luckily after a Oretta and after coffee, the fools that we face because of the wine is gone and at midnight we pinned the last plate.
We cleaned and arranged the site and opened a bottle of champagne for us to compliment each other.
The "workers at no cost," they learned the bad news that the holidays were just a mirage, a trick to get them to give their best, it is true that now begins the welding process and that work for them is greatly reduced, but the fact remains that their presence is welcome and necessary.
The technical note of the evening was given by the brothers Leonardo and Stefano slugs, remember the laser cutter? The fathers of the bow? suppliers of raw materials? have with expert eyes checked all the hull and ruled that the work is perfect, I was appalled by the quality and gave us compliments, in a little 'we'll have to move between "good". At the party were only
Flavio and Daniel, the first ill in bed, the second abroad.
And now we try to describe the inner feelings, you have never done a marathon in New York? The first 10km is a party, look, look, smile and greeting everyone, in practice you are running with their hands up giving " 5 "to all children, urging the crowd, you run and you are happy. But who is there knows that the "cross of passion" is a few miles below that expected, he also knows that at some point take it and assume it'll have to bring it to the end. The road is
still long, and let us enjoy these initial urlateci km: - "Give me five."

The Best Groomsmen Gift Ever

minus 5 10

We're almost there, there are only 5 sheets curves.
Last night we worked with a prohibitive temperature (1 degree), now die by the desire to see the finished hull and not give up. For dinner we ate pasta with cheese and olive oil and crushed pepper to Florence, we had brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate the very first target, but the optimistic view of Richard was cut short last camber plates, in fact, the latter were curved at the usual car, but from another person who did the same excellent job of connecting. To fix them we lost more time than expected.
Thursday evening, however, is safe; closes. The sparkling wine is already cool.
Here are some pictures of the stages of processing: cutting, grinding and the flexible caulking.
Hummmm, what is the bevels? you should not approach two sheets cut and weld them to proceed without a processing step called "chamfer", the operation is to remove material at the edges of the sheets to create a double V or X so that the weld penetrates fully, for do this, we devised a method that makes it fast and very effective all the same bevel. This writer wants to make that method public, who had no idea and did everything possible to boycott the resumption.
not say then what is the strange device used but we will quickly see in action.

Many will use it already, but others do not know what it is and we had not thought about it, others will have to ask.

Santa Clause 2 Date Song On Date

Good morning everyone and welcome back to these pages. This weekend I (and started) concluded the reading of "The Tempest" by William Shakespeare, penultimate opera (theater) immortal storyteller. In fact, it is a long series of dialogues, with lots of notes on the characters, the moment of entering the scene, the background noise and so serves to be brought on stage. The mere reading is interesting but not satisfactory because - on the whole, I do not think I'm far from the truth when I say that is little more than reading a script.

In any case, surely "The Tempest" deserves to be read. The site Shakespeareinitaly punctual and offers an interesting discussion on this paper. Until next time

How Does Malaria Affect Lungs?

We're almost there, missing 10 curved plates and then the hull is finished, now missing very little. Yesterday, we installed a dozen pieces with the help of Fabio (
architect) , the tireless Richard Flavio and the awkward (joined us at lunchtime port 2 chickens Roast potatoes, meatballs Indian, wine and .... you forgot the bread).
The day was prohibitive, 4 degrees and a strong wind, fully closing the tent we found an almost decent, the "workers" at no cost often complain of a sudden we feared a surprise visit to the unions but the promise that this nightmare will end and the week after that there will be a "break ranks" and a month's leave for all (except for Marco and Alessio), has pushed to bite the bullet, to go ahead and give best.
The tent has moved menacingly over our heads throughout the day but has held up well.

welding time is coming.

This is Sergin hands of crab, one of the hardcore poor, a panchinaro.
He wanted to participate in the work force of naval carpentry although physically is completely denied to any type of manual labor.
has two hands instead of claws, do you remember the 60's ski gloves with opposable thumbs free but the remaining fingers together?
Here he is. He felt offended because
excluded, has done everything to come, we did deliver messages such as "I'm offended because I do not call but please do not tell them. "He is so, use the subterfuge.
We," men of good heart, "even if we know about the petty tricks, we have invited to participate.
We were filled with pointless and silly questions and then, as everyone knows, it's useless to explain things to those who want to understand. He was a blizzard, luckily Daniel compensated for his presence and we are still unable to install the 3 sheets as required and cut the 9 plates of 50cm from the calendar.

How Long Can I Live With End Stage Cirrhosis

DĂ©jĂ  vu

Do you feel you've seen these pictures?
Us too. We started
Side B.
a nightmare having to start all over again.
We must respect the parallel with the Side A, at the same height, curved plates must be of equal width.
We finished the word of this boring phase in the coming days we will just some pictures to show the stages of development and manufacturing phases.
evening shift change. Alternation of "workers".
We'll put three curved plates and cut into strips of the last two 50cm plates intact that tomorrow will bring a calendar to prepare for work on Saturday.
For the next days there will be a sharp drop in temperatures and most likely we will suspend the work until later this month and beyond (also at risk on Saturday).
We have already applied for unemployment insurance for our "workers", will take their sausages and pork ribs (half ration) at home.

Alaska Photos!!

for now this link .... then the public will move at all when I get Picasa working connection ...

Album Alaska

Mount And Blade Increase 32

Alaska. Day One.

Here we are, standing on all the pc shaky legs, flying from Seattle to Anchorage, on a trabicolo that only God knows how he is .... I do not say no Alaska Airlines is .... fantastastica: the logo of the airline's portrait with a wig berlusoni BobMarley (Fra reason you have too! You win!) and just got a little old lady with false teeth dressed hostess approached with paper, pen and glasses and asked if I wanted a turkey sandwich with vegetables! then turns around and breaks three bottles of wine making them fall! Excellent ... but maybe I left to go. I do a rollback .... .... brblrlbrlblrlbrllbrl
Departures from Linate 6:55 hours (Italian time) Assigned Paris Charles De Gauelle Dugarry Thuram and Moulin Rouge. It begins as always great to Linate airport: 20 minutes after that I do not see any of the check-in with Air France passes a bib BritishAirways very kind to me and warns that "the morning airfrance work with Alitalia" will then check in makes aliatalia ... eccallĂ , almost the last minute. I can get to the check-in and the lady is a bit of messing around with stickers to attach to luggage (almost consumed a few rolls) but everything resolved, and I am embarking on. Let's go. The first hour of the flight departs.
Charles de Gaulle all pretty quiet, except that the speaker of the terminal with the Parisian accent says otherwise hetero-something about a delay of baggage to the terminal E. ... it happens to be my .... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .... after a couple of incomprehensible announcements I go to an insider in India (I like to win easy) and I explained that the delay is for baggage claim and not to transfer menumal .... ..... (granite for my grandmother who reads me: the baggage is the baggage claim and instead transfer is the transfer of luggage from one plane to another without removal by hand, large The grandmother who reads the blog communist !!!!:- D).
I climb on the Paris-Seattle, business class and have no one even close. A pasha!
surprising if it were not for the 11 hour flight ......... endless. But you can not understand ....
The Seattle Paris is practically not done by tracing a straight line between Paris and Seattle map but you have to do a great arc that starts from Paris via Iceland, Greenland and back down through Canada and arrived in Seattle directly from North. The fact is that virtually cross the North Pole ...................... my god what a show.
At 11 thousand feet high the whole area of \u200b\u200bthe Arctic Circle is an endless desert of snow and ice. From that height you can see the sharp "crack" that delineate the iceberg and above you can see beautifully Parties "darker" ie the parts of icebergs that are just barely under the water ... but that are seen as parts of "dirty". What immediately struck the eye, then: in winter the area that lies above the Arctic Circle is always, always say, the moon lights up at night and almost "open" the entire landscape being one of the purest snow shines and diffuses the light. The moon creates a background on the areas of water visible on the surface, the reflected light going off in the areas of "snow". So closely are the water areas and darker as they move away cross the light of the moon and become the best and brightest. How wonderful .... I have some photos are received well ... we hope the mo discharge.
The American people are still embarrassing. They are exactly like the characters we saw in the 80's show type the ateam or KITT ....
ok, but let's get back to the history of Paris is seattle. So I left on January 17 at 8:30 from Paris (dawn), we went up, up and we saw the first sunset, then we did about four hours to complete at night then go back down, review the same dawn and land at 13:30 local time in Seattle the same day ...... is not beastly?? I saw day, night, day and yet the very same day! (Sorry for the repeats but I can not make the idea without it!) It's crazy!
However in Seattle was a hellish mess Immigration, I was in line an hour and a half, when the policeman asked me what I came to do I said "business, I'm a consultant" and he "we do not have enough counselors here?" to which I said "ENI Petroleum Consultant for Alaska '... and then came on and I almost kissed the hands comb ...: D pussy then is powerful ENI! : D: D excellent
fact is I had to do the checkin of checked luggage and in substance taken from the tape and I've given to a black boy who has put on the same tape (AMERICAN PROCEDURES. .. if they were smart they would have called AMERIVOLPI ............ but instead wants the case .......)
At 15:30 I left for Seattle at the time of Anchorage not before heard the good and great Fabio Carra who is in Houston where I shot the contacts of the Italians who are already in Alaska, and I expect for dinner dinner .... eh .....
So, my day today as it was long??
Wake up at 4:45,
flight at 6:55
8:30 flight
11 hours of flight arriving at 12:30 local time.
Allocation at 15:30 and arrive at 18:00 ...
Easy, 18 -5 (rounded) + 10 (time) = 23 hours a day, nay, SUN ...... who knows when I go to sleep !!!!!
I'll eat six or seven times .... and I still waiting for dinner, oh for the record, the turkey sandwich I guess that was the most healthy thing I ate all day .... the old lady here have experience! : D
Now download the pictures .... are not that great ... there was little light, but perhaps the best the public the moment you arrive tonight or tomorrow ... or ... or as I know, now I can not understand more than a club!

Building Odyssey

Here's another crazy kid like us, before Christmas, we sent an email to a "colleague" who is building a boat similar to ours, a Dix 43, Brian, that's the name A few days ago, he responded with a nice mail that we thought it was interesting to read together.
His website ( http://www.odysseyyachts.com/Odyssey_Yachts/BUILDING_BLOG/BUILDING_BLOG.html ) is well done and very interesting, are scrupulously reported on it all the doubts and solutions.
The mail is in English, ma i lettori di questo blog sono colti ed istruiti e ci sembrava inutile e offensivo tradurla.

Hi ,
Thanks for writing-it is always nice to hear from a compatriot boatbuilder, especially one who is building in alloy, " the miracle metal".
I have been to your area of Italy, staying near Castelfiorentino in an agritourismo  several years ago. Beautiful!  Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Vinci, we had a fantastic time.
You, too, will have an adventure when the day comes to move your vessel to the sea. That is the most frequent question I hear from visitors: how will you get the boat out of here? I tell them, If , after 5000 hours of building a boat, I cannot figure out that small detail, then I have no business launching her!  I'm much more concerned with things like fuel systems, electrical and electronics. The welding is actually not too difficult. Although just recently I have been welding  the insides of the built in keel fuel and water tanks-that is a challenge, especially since those welds must be perfectly sealed. This weekend I hope to pressure test the aft keel reserve tank and find out how good my welds are.

I have also been researching insulation and have decided on using a combination of insulating paint (Mascoat Delta T) for the frames and stringers, combined with Armacell closed cell  glue in place sheet for the ceiling and hull open spans. Steve Dashew is  a proponent of the Armacell. He has great website, www.setsail.com , where he details construction in New Zealand of his aluminum motor yachts, as well as having a large section of  questions and answers about all things cruising and boatbuiding.

Also, you might like to join  a free web forum of  which I am a founder, www.metalboatbuilding.org . It is an international group of builders working in steel and alloy. Small but serious, and very informed and civil, there is no insulting , disrespectful or aggrressive talk allowed, just boatbuilding.

I met DD at the Annapolis boat show in October- we had a great afternoon exploring the many boats. He did not have nice things to say about the new (very ugly) Beneteaus!  His boats seem very practical and seaworthy, yet maintain an attractive aesthetic. I think if your boat doesn't excite your heart the way a beautiful woman dies, then it's not the right one!

Keep welding!

Cheers
Brian

Palm Trees Metal Wrap Hawaii

Lincoln Child - Deep

Good morning everyone and welcome back to these pages.
Last night, rocked by an episode of Voyager is not just the highest level, I concluded the reading of "Impact", an interesting work of L. Child, author brilliant work, especially when paired with D. Preston (their party is arguably the most famous literary agent Pendergast, while tvnomani An example is the film "Relic").

Let's see what the site says IBS on this volume:
" North Atlantic. The Storm King oil platform in a mysterious and deadly disease from the symptoms is spreading among the crew. No one can understand what it may caused. Peter Crane, U.S. Navy doctor, is responsible for dealing with the emergency. In an atmosphere full of ambiguity and secrecy, Crane realizes immediately that the ocean depths conceal a secret infinitely more dark and menacing of the disease that is called to fight. Deep Storm is a top secret military base to over three thousand feet below sea level: it is there that the dreadful disease affects. Inside a mammoth twelve-storey, surmounted by a dome that can withstand the immense pressure of the water, a group of leading scientists, in an atmosphere tense and claustrophobic, a top secret research. The object of research, the remains of an unknown civilization, a civilization that left no traces in the history books, but that is technologically advanced. And that perhaps is not entirely disappeared. "

Now, a small admission: I started some time ago, and this book ... I put it quickly into the ranks of tomes "to read when there is time." In fact, the first part (read: half) of the book is tedious, but almost redundant - if you have the patience to exceed 50% of the book, you will understand that all those parts are used to pave the way for a "second time" in crescendo , without action, upheavals, betrayals, terrorists and that sweet, inevitable, unbeatable dash of Aliens which is not bad just never. If you then add that the last thirty lines hide a completely unexpected plot twist, so here I am here to recommend reading this book. Not a must, but definitely worth reading. Until next time

Ale ps: about ... read yesterday, coincidentally, I saw a beautiful spot where the Government is inciting people to get close to Reading. You can find the video here .

What To Use To Make A Zulu Hut

SkyLine

Good morning everyone and welcome back to these pages, this weekend has been released "Skyline", the brothers Strause with David Zayas and Brittany Daniel. Here I report the string by taking the site " trovacinema.it "

"In Los Angeles a group of friends after a wild night to celebrate the past, is awakened by a light from the window. I find that young this strange glow that draws people out in the street and then an otherworldly force makes them disappear. Seems to be just an invasion of extraterrestrial organic crystalline form, whose sole purpose is to suck in their spaceship Earth's population, to clean up the planet and then be able to restock. "

Put it this way: not the best film-based of alien invasions in the world that there is, but it does the job from start to finish hog. If we exclude a post-initiation sequence that serves to give some background to the characters (Operation failed!), the rest of the film is a crescendo of action, with excellent special effects that counterbalance dialogues close to zero (in terms of usefulness and depth).
The finish then, is somewhat unexpected and a touch of originality that will satisfy the viewer. A good movie that entertains from beginning to end, without any pretension. Recommended
.

Mandingo And White Guy

Side A

To place the last 6 curved plates of the left side of the boat, we spent the whole day, but the result is excellent. Towards the 17's "workers' low cost (is satisfied , ribs, sausages, bread and wine) have gone right home, we stayed mum 2 to finish installing the last slab in order to fix and clean the yard, we moved the welding on the starboard side and we were 40 minutes see our work in solitude. At the end of each small goal, enthusiasm leads us to fly our minds, takes over after a little 'depressed thinking about how much remains to be done. Today they have helped once again: Richard, Gianni and Flavio and Fabio took a day off. Fabio the archtetto rose to greet us even though it was in excellent condition due to a bad cold, Daniele seems to have disappeared (again, please, we miss you).
All workers who are giving us an invaluable contribution, we ask a little 'patience, missing for a little while and then' leave you alone, we do welding work on their own.
In the picture you can see a very interesting trick, fast and low cost.
Plese, let a donation.

Now enjoy with us the Side A.

Pregnant Bowel Infection

mother of invention

Install the round part of the hull seems more a test of intelligence and wit that a work of carpentry. As I said in previous posts we did not use any gimmick or equipment created ad-hoc, the problem for those who have not yet addressed, consist in coupling between the curved portions of them, everything would be easy and commonplace if we were building a rectangular barge.
Weld objects on the hull significantly slows the work and can damage plates.
Here is a list of objects that we used to obtain an excellent result to date: 3 conventional terminals and 4 terminal lengthened, a suction cup, a hammer, scraps of aluminum V-shaped, 2 iron hooks , 2 straps used with gear from car, a bar is approximately 2 feet for leverage, some pieces of wood of various sizes.
belt with two hooks on each end is connected to the hawk and "embrace" the hull, holding out a lot can pull the sheets until they match those closest already established and can be used to place the L-shaped as a lever with a piece of wood (the core). The suction cup is positioned straight on the plates to slide under the handle of the V-sheet, with this method is crushed corners that are sometimes higher. The method is fast and efficient and we are now fallen below the slab corner. 7 are still missing pieces to complete the first side. The work is still very tedious, repetitive and tiresome, the slabs before being pinned inside, are presented at least 4 times.
It 'still a joy to see the results, judge for yourself.
